Stansted Long-Stay Parking Alternatives
Long-stay parking works for some trips. But if you'd rather skip the shuttle bus and walk straight into departures, there are smarter ways to park at Stansted — here's how the options honestly compare.
Stansted's long-stay car parks sit off-site: you drive out, hunt for a bay, unload your bags at the bus stop, wait for the shuttle, and ride 10–15 minutes to the terminal. On the way home you reverse the whole routine — often at midnight, often in the rain, with tired kids and heavy cases.
The main alternative is meet and greet parking. With Planeezy you drive straight to the terminal forecourt at your booked time, hand the keys to a fully insured driver, and walk into departures in about two minutes. Your car is parked at our own secure offsite compound — CCTV-monitored, gated, run and controlled by Planeezy — and brought back to the terminal when you land.
On price, the gap is smaller than most people expect. Planeezy is £12 per day when you book a full week — £84 for seven days flat — and you see your exact price instantly on our booking page. The only extra is the airport's £10 exit fee on your return, paid at the barrier as you drive out (we cover the £10 entry fee at drop-off). For many week-long trips that works out close to a mid-tier long-stay bay, with zero transfer time.
Other alternatives exist — mid-stay park and ride, off-airport operators, hotel 'park and fly' packages — but for early departures, late returns, families and anyone with more bags than hands, meet and greet is the option that removes the most friction from the journey.
